Abstract

This paper presents of the current state of geosystems and landscape mapping of the most developed region of South-Minusinsk depression. In the land use process, extensive terrains were involved, a network of irrigation canals was built, forest stands were used. Geoinformation mapping (GIM) allows you to systematize the construction of maps, analyze, classify and generalize data, combine them on the basis of creating a single database and the ability to display, depending on the need for solving specific tasks. GIM of studying the earth's surface allow us to quickly process large amounts of data, systematize them, cover significant time intervals of economic activity on the surveyed territory, compare modern space images with retrospective maps and field research data, and ultimately build a landscape-interpretation cartographic model dynamics of natural and disturbed geosystems of the South Minusinsk depression. The map obtained from the synthesis of time-lapse satellite images, available literature sources and field data, are the most representative models of the ecological state of the South Minusinsk depression at different stages of anthropogenic development at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
