The data on the main deposits and occurrences of mineral waters in Irkutsk region are given. The balneological criteria to classify the mineral waters as curing and maximum concentration limits are given. 39 different sanitary resort complexes grouped into 7 sanitary resort zones are described. The short description of geological structure and hydrogeological features of the region are given. The main kinds of mineral waters are listed. The recommendations to use different kinds of mineral waters according to All-Union State Standard 13273-88 are listed.
