Geographic Specifics of Ethno-Confessional Situation in the Republic of Buryatia

Abstract
The paper is devoted to examination of geographic features of modern ethnoconfessional structure in the Byryatia on the basis of: ethnic self-determination and proficiency in a language (according to information of population census 2010), ethnic diversity index, spreading of religious communities and organizationsand religious-cultural infrastructure. Listed aspects of ethnoconfessional situation was basis for zoning.
