The paper considers scientific and methodological principles of organization of scientific-training grounds. The relevancy of creating a ground “Sarma” having a tourist-recreational specialization on the Maloe More shore of Lake Baikal is shown. In natural, socio-economic, and tourist-recreational sense, the ground is a representative area for the Central Ecological Zone of the Baikal Natural Territory. We define mission and objectives, and lines of research for the ground, which will provide specialists training in the field of design and functioning of the tourist-recreational complex, ecotourism, and environmental protection.
