Abstract
The problem of recreation activity development is shown through its appreciation by local authorities that include this kind of business into their plans of socioeconomic
development for the next ten years. The paper gives the features of natural resource base difference, kinds of investment projects in different areas and the perspectives of tourism development in Irkutsk region.
