Abstract
This paper is concerned with sustainable development of Russia’s oil and gas regions on the basis of the diversification of their economy. Special attention is paid to an intensification of investment processes, and to the implementation of innovative technologies as the tools facilitating modernization of the national economy and a mini-mization of negative consequences of the current economic crisis.
