Presents theoretical and methodical foundations, as well as the assessment and mapping of environmental capacity of geosystems (ECG) within a large region of Siberia in connection with the information support for organization of environmental management. Natural landscapes are considered as an ecological environment and an environment of development of various human life activity modes. Experience in reconciliation, interpretation and integration of interdisciplinary geographical information, obtained from various archival sources, into the unified cartographic system (CS), is outlined.
