Abstract

Joint analysis of paleotectonic conditions of formations of oil and gas complexes and modern hypsometric level is the key to understanding the geological evolution of the area and, therefore, placement of opened and prospective oil and gas deposits. The formation of oil and gas complexes is connected with paleostructure, and it`s location – with paleostructure and modern structural position. During long-term development of the area occurred reformation of deposits under the influence of paleodynamic structural-tectonic conditions. An attempt to predict oil and gas presence for subsalt deposits in the north-western part of the Nepa-Botuoba anticline was made.
