The Irkutsk region is a large industrial region located in the south-eastern part of the Siberian Federal District of Russia. Concentration of industrial production in cities is an original cause of the majority of environmental problems in the region. The article considers ecological indicators of quality of life of the urban population of the Irkutsk region, which is treated as an integral characteristic of natural, ecological, social, economic, and other indicators reflecting the attitude of people to living conditions and well-being.
