Landscape-Ecological Direction of Soil Biota Research in Geosystems at the South of Eastern Siberia

Author(s)
Je. P. Bessolitsyna
Abstract
The work presents a synthesis of geographical and ecological views of Russian and foreign scientists at different stages of development of landscape ecology and biogeography, reflects the history of formation and development of complex landscape-ecological approach in soil biology and geography, a place in the process of the V. B. Sochava geosystems’ doctrine, the contents of the problems of integrating geographical and biological concepts in the process of formation of new scientific direction are disclosed.
Sphere of the use of landscape-ecological approach for the solution of applied geography’s problems is considered the main ones are: status assessment of landscapes and their degree of transformation identify values of the landscape from the point of view of the uniqueness of the biotic communities and areas, needy in protection development recommendations to limit human impact in order to prevent degradation of natural landscapes and conservation of unique ecosystems status assessment of biological and taxonomic diversity under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors environmental control and optimization of the monitoring system.
