Variability of Winter Minimum Temperatures at Predbaikalie

Abstract
The changes of extreme winter thermal regime of Predbaikalie were analyzed. The temporal variability of the frequency of occurrence of daily minimum air temperatures below –30, –35, –40, –45 and –50 °C for the period 1943–2012 was assessed. Winter conditions are thermally softer, although periods of abnormally low temperatures not excluded.
