In clause results of studying of the insurance market of the Baikal region, including the tendency of quantitative change of the companies and branches, focuses of localization of insurance services are resulted. The basic parameters of economic activities of insurance sector are generalized. Territorial features of insurance services in a section of the companies of the various status (international, federal and regional), the state domestic insurance funds (social, pension and obligatory medical) are revealed.
